President’s Men

(Seniors) The President’s Men were initiated in the fall of 2012. The purpose of the program was to select an elite group of seniors who would represent the president, Fr. Joseph Tierney, wherever needed throughout the academic year. They were to speak at grade schools, open houses at Hayes, class assemblies and whenever the president called upon them. Once a month they team-teach a course in leadership to all the members. Several times a year they have lunch with the president to share information regarding the progress of the school. They are considered the “image/face” of the school to future students. During Advent/Lent they read at the presidents’ morning mass. Assisting in Thanksgiving Food Drives and other food pantries has enabled them to reach out to others in need. This well-rounded program has helped these students to “give back” to Cardinal Hayes as a sign of gratitude for what they have received in the past four years. They are great examples of what it means to be a “Hayesman."
