Obituary for Aaron Monroe Clindinin

Pattersonville- Aaron Monroe Clindinin, 69 of Pattersonville, New York passed away Friday, September 11, 2020 at Pathways Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness.
Born in New York, New York on May 30, 1951 to Count and Helen Clindinin, he spent his early years in South Carolina with his grandmother, Evelyn Greene. After returning to New York City, he lived on the upper west side where he established lifelong friendships while he attended Holy Name of Jesus School and Cardinal Hayes High School where he distinguished himself in track and field.
While working towards his B. A. in History from Union College in Schenectady NY, Aaron met Jacqueline Brandow who became his wife of 43 years.
An industrious worker, Aaron held various jobs throughout the years finishing his career as a systems analyst with Key Services Corp.
Survived by his wife Jacqueline, sisters Naomi and Millicent and brothers Howard, Ronald and Eugene, as well as nieces and nephews, Aaron will be remembered for his funny stories, his quick wit, playing football in the street with neighborhood children, and hosting his big city nieces and nephews for summer visits where, to their delight, they discovered more than cows.

IN MEMORY OF DAYS GONE BY
Saddened thoughts they do abound
On each important day
And as we make our forward trek
We see a different way
A little insight, a few new plans
New thoughts, new hopes and dreams
We don’t appear to move at all
What is, is not as seems
There really are good reasons
For each untimed event
And life it does afford us
Short time to pine, repent
As we move on at our snail’s pace
We inch a little nearer
To what? We sense, yet feel unsure
But know it will be dearer
Dearer than the things we have
And those we think we’ve lost
Our goal is to achieve this thing
With little or no cost
Our minds do know just what is best
For each of us we’re sure
Our hearts are what was given us
To help us to endure
Although we know it’s right for us
We still think with a sigh
The lord does move in such strange ways
And we’ll never quite know why.
