Student Advisory Committee

(All Years) The Student Advisory Committee is devoted to the betterment of all Hayesmen. They accomplish this goal through a variety of activities for the good of Hayes and the community. It is comprised of a select group of students who exemplify dedication to service and academic excellence. SAC is open to all students seeking self development, community service opportunities, leadership skills and academic improvement. Being part of this organization is a privilege and members are expected to be serious, enthusiastic and honorable Hayesmen. From the annual Thanksgiving Food Drive to the Middle States Town Hall Assembly, SAC is behind it all, improving the school and helping it live up to its reputation. Every year, SAC performs numerous activities, all for the good of Hayes and the community around it. Examples of recent SAC activities are:
· Thirty five students of S.A.C. raised $3,200 dollars in the fight against breast cancer by participating in the Walk for Life at Orchard Beach.
· Collected and distributed four thousand food items to the less fortunate by hosting the annual Thanksgiving Food Drive.
· As part of the Thanksgiving Fund Drive, they were able raise over $3,700 dollars to be distributed to three local churches and the Sacred Heart Food Pantry.

The Mission of Cardinal Hayes High School, a community based in Roman Catholic values, is to inspire diverse young men of the New York City metropolitan area to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens. We will accomplish this goal by encouraging students' spiritual and intellectual growth through a rigorous college preparatory program of academics, extra-curricular activities, and personal discipline.
