Up Hayes: Transitioning to the Future
We remain forever grateful to all of you who have donated to our school to provide our students with:
* A foundation rich in Catholic values and traditions that transforms students lives
* Educational opportunities that focus on academic achievement and excellent student outcomes
* Financial Aid programs to provide these opportunities for all students
Our campaign is appropriately titled - Up Hayes! Transitioning to the Future!
At Hayes, we are continuing to stress achievement and growth and have undertaken numerous projects to foster successful outcomes for the future of our Hayesmen. Last year we were thrilled to announce the opening of our financial literacy and empowerment program for our young men at Cardinal Hayes. The pilot year of this program has been a major success. Through hands-on financial engagement and
training, the program is helping students develop critical financial skills for future success. Hayes is providing access for students to numerous guest lecturers working in the financial markets and providing resources such as The Wall Street Journal and Financial Times. Young Hayesmen will be prepared for business and economic coursework at the next level and will forge a path to enter financial professions.
Now, we are thrilled to announce our vision to give a major overhaul to our physical education and fitness facility. We are within reach of raising the funds to begin the demolition and construction phase. Take a moment to look at the pictures in this brochure. If possible, take a moment to visit Hayes to see for yourself all of the improvements we have created, thanks to all of your support! Many of our young men and their families are faced with the health challenges so prevalent in the South Bronx. Incidences of diabetes, asthma, and obesity are significantly higher in our community than in the surrounding boroughs, the state, and the country. The pandemic has exacerbated these issues. We will look to address these issues with curricular and co-curricular opportunities for our young men. Our Hayesmen are so grateful to all of you, for helping to improve their mind, body, and spirit as we address these critical issues.
Please join us for our Annual Spring campaign 24-Hour Giving Day, Up Hayes! Transitioning to the Future!, beginning on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 12 am at 650cardinalhayes.org. Your support will help fund tuition, academic programs, and the future needs of our students.

Cardinal Hayes High School
The Mission of Cardinal Hayes High School, a community based in Roman Catholic values, is to inspire diverse young men of the New York City metropolitan area to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens. We will accomplish this goal by encouraging students' spiritual and intellectual growth through a rigorous college preparatory program of academics, extra-curricular activities, and personal discipline.
