National Honor Society

(Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors) The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students.  NHS members are those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Character.  One of the National Honor Society's goals is to exhibit the virtues expected of each of the members and to model these virtues for other Hayesmen.
A current focus of NHS is to work in unison with other clubs such as the Student Advisory Committee, La Sociedad Latina and Student Government to serve Hayes and the surrounding community.  The NHS has weekly meetings on Wednesdays at 2:20.  The NHS was involved in raising funds and awareness for Neighbor Food Pantries associated with the Catholic Churches in the area. During the Christmas season, NHS also has organized a toy drive which provided hundreds to the Toys for Tots Program.
