Students Working to Advance Technology The mission of S.W.A.T is to promote student leadership training; address technology competencies; provide outreach to the community through parent involvement, corporate support, and student service; and to encourage collaboration among student SWAT teams nationally. S.W.A.T. members are "men for others".
S.W.A.T. diligently works to make sure the existing technology at Hayes works to its optimum efficiency. The second mission of S.W.A.T. is to promote technology competency among students, faculty, and teachers.
The third mission of S.W.A.T. is to reach out to less fortunate schools in order to promote technology competency there as well as help with their technological infrastructure. This outreach program has benefited both St. Barnabas Elementary School and La Salle Academy in summer 2007.
S.W.A.T. works to inspire its members to learn about and succeed in technology related fields. One of its major goals is to prove the value of cyber athletics.
